Hi, I'm Natalia!

I began my journey of healing and self-empowerment fresh out of university. At 21, I had very low self-esteem, I was depressed, I had a full blown eating disorder, I abused alcohol and I was in an abusive relationship. I lived to meet the needs and wants of everyone around me while keeping appearances that everything was ok. I had no sense of my self, my needs or what I wanted for myself. 

At 22, after graduating university and working at a corporate job for 5mths, I hit rock bottom. I was so depressed and self-destructive, I knew I couldn't keep living the way I did. So I quit my job and went to an ashram in India. It turned out to be a decision that would change my life forever because there I discovered the world of mind-body wisdom and healing and nothing was the same ever since. When I returned home, I dove into learning as much as I could about healing to bring empowerment and peace into my own life. With the help of Yoga, Mindfulness, Holistic Nutrition & Positive Psychology, I was able to transform my destructive inner world into a loving and supportive one. Since 2010, I've been sharing what I've learned (and continue to learn) on my journey to help others transform and empower their lives. 

My work with children and youth began in 2014 when I decided to share the tools I wish I had in my teens before I hit rock bottom. My work is intended to help youth develop a healthy and empowering relationship with themselves in mind, body and heart. I currently share Mindfulness, Yoga & Tapping in schools and communities to encourage stress-resilience, self-responsibility, compassion and self-care.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Natalia Ria holds a B.Com. from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Mindfulness Educator, Yoga Teacher (RYT350, RCYT), Energy Medicine Practitioner & Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner.  She also holds a certificate in Foundations of Positive Psychology. 

She loves travel, dance, nature and storytelling.
